Billboard held its first ever music summit, Billboard MusicCon, to kick off the Billboard Music Awards 2022 weekend.

As an expansion of the annual awards show, Billboard MusicCon offers exclusive conversations, performances and  fan experiences. The inaugural event featured a mix of performances and panels. Burna Boy and Latto were some of the artists on the conversations panel. Shenseea opened the night’s show and got the crowd on their feet, performing songs from her new album “ALPHA,” including “R U That” and “Deserve It.” Shenseea interacted with fans throughout her set, and even invited a few people from the crowd on stage to show off their best dance moves.

Later on, Brazilian artist Anitta delivered an electric headlining performance featuring a variety of her hit songs, including “Faking Love,” “Me Gusta,” and “Boys Don’t Cry” from her brand new, record breaking album “Versions of Me,”.

In addition to performances, the day included multiple summit panels including “Women on the Rise: Management 101” with Dina Sahim, Alex Depersia, and Nelly Ortiz. Additional panels included “The Future of Hip Hop With Latto”, “Don’t F*ck With Ukraine!” with Ukraninan artist Max Barskih,”, “The Explosion of Afro-fusion With Burna Boy”, and more.

Fans were invited the following day, May 14th, to enjoy a special performance from Ty Dolla $ign and DJ Brittany Sky who wrapped up the summits festivities.
