For this New Music Friday, we have single releases from Cordae and Anderson.Paak, Daniel Caesar, Chloë, Bas, and EST GEE + a new album from Lil’ Yachty!

Chloë

After announcing the news of her upcoming solo LP, In Pieces, Chloe is giving fans a taste of what to expect. “Pray It Away” is the lead single on the forthcoming album, which talks about turning to God while dealing with the temptation to retaliate against an ex-lover. Prior to this release, Chloe dropped a stream of singles, “Have Mercy”, “Surprise, and “Treat Me”, all of which will not be included in the new LP, according to the singer. The new LP arrives in March.

Cordae ft. Anderson.Paak

Cordae and Anderson.Paak have collaborated for the second time with a new banger, “Two Tens.” Over a jazzy, loop beat reminiscent of A Tribe Called Quest type sound, Cordae and .Paak exchange in a playful back and forth. The video component is equally as fun where Cordae is seen giving advice to .Paak at a bar. We were first introduced to the dynamic duo’s syngery on Cordae’s “RNP” track from his The Lost Boy album.

Daniel Caesar

Grammy-Award winning artist, Daniel Caesar is back with a new single, “Do You Like Me? “. In this seductive R&B track, Caesar questions if a woman shares the same affection that he has for her. Over a Raphael Saadiq production, Caesar sings, “Do you like the way I talk to you? / Do I titillate your mind? / Gotta say I like your attitude / And I’d love to make you mine.”

Bas

Bas is back with a new a single, “Diamonds”, a cautionary tale about being up for public consumption as an artist. In an interview with Complex, the 35-year old shared, “‘Diamonds’ stems from the stark realization that, as artists in the public light, our pains and traumas are consistently up for the public’s consumption.”

EST Gee

EST Gee has dropped two new singles, “BLOW UP” and “IF I STOP NOW”. Produced by Foreverolling, both tracks follow the Louisville sluggers, signature gritty style. Both tracks will be included on EST Gee’s forthcoming project, MAD.

Lil Yachty

Atlanta native, Lil Yachty entered the music scene as an eccentric character and his style has never wavered. While all of his albums are creatively curated, his latest project, Let’s Start Here takes a new direction. The alternative album is a ‘psychedelic’ experience featuring live instrumentation. The LP serves as a follow up to 2020’s Lil Boat 3. While the 14-track project has no official features, vocalists Foushee, Diana Gordon, Teezo Touchdown, and Justine Skye make appearances.

He shared on his instagram, “With almost 2 years since I started this project, I’ve wanted nothing more than to share it with you all. Here are a few clips from while making… a clip of the studios I worked out off w/ all my pals.”
