Legendary label, Death Row Records, has entered the cannabis industry under the leadership of Snoop Dogg. On Friday (Dec 30th), the Death Row Records instagram account shared a brief animated video announcing the new endeavor – Death Row Cannabis.
According to High Times, Death Row Cannabis will first be available at select Cookies California stores throughout California in Brentwood, San Bernardino, and San Diego on Monday, January 2, 2023, with other locations and more states to follow.
Snoop Dogg has been the official owner of Death Row Records since acquiring the label from MNRK Music Group in February of 2022. “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value”, Snoop Dogg shared in a statement. The thirty-year old label was the springboard for Snoop Dogg’s career and launched his earlier albums Doggystyle and Tha Doggfather.
