Cardi B teased a possible verse to Ice Spice’s “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and fans went on a frenzy as they anticipated an official remix to the song.
Cardi B turned to her Twitter account to shut down all the rumors. “I’m not putting that song out by the way. You know I don’t tease,” she posted.
A confused fan then urged her to “tell us why not then” and in response, The Bronx rapper quote-retweeted and said, “I like it don’t love it. Just having fun.”
On Sunday (Oct. 9), the “UP” hitmaker posted an Instagram video, soundtracked by her own verse over the instrumental to “Munch (Feelin’ U).” “B***HES IS DEAD TO ME THEN, AND THEY DEAD TO ME STILL!!!,” Cardi B wrote as the caption, with reference to her lyrics. The viral clip, where she was strutting and posing in a mini black dress, has already received over a million views.
Ice Spice, who is also from The Bronx, has gone viral on the Internet ever since the release of her breakout single in August. “Munch (Feelin’ U)” has gained nearly 15 million streams on Spotify and its official music video has gained over 12 million views on WorldStarHipHop. Despite all the celebrity co-signs, the chorus, “You thought I was feelin’ you? That n***a a munch,” has been used by everyone on social media.
Working with up-and-coming artists isn’t something new to Cardi B. Two weeks ago, she joined Memphis rapper GloRilla and dropped a verse on “Tomorrow 2,” which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In her verse, Cardi B gave Ice Spice a subtle shoutout, “She say she don’t f**k with me, who said that you can h*e. That n***a a munch and he gone eat me like a mango.”
