While chatting with fans on Twitter Spaces over the weekend, Cardi B said that she’s been feeling “hopeless” trying to make her husband Offset happy, following the tragic death of his former bandmate and cousin Takeoff.

“It’s been a few weeks and I feel like a lot of people are starting to feel a little bit comfortable with trying to be funny, trying to say slick s**t,” the “WAP” rapper started.

“We’re living our [lives] normally, but deep down inside our hearts have been so heavy. I feel like if I talk about – the internet [is] so desensitized – how we really feel, what motherf**kers really been going through, y’all would start saying, ‘Oh sympathy.’ We don’t want no sympathy,” Cardi B continued. “We ain’t no charity case, but no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy, trying to make him crack a smile.”

The 29-year-old Bronx native also delivered a warning to people on the internet she says are using the unfortunate opportunity to gain “clout.”

“F**king seeing him randomly cry. Seeing him trying to distract his mind completely. F**king schedule been changing, trying to keep up with work, after everything that we’ve been going through these past couple of weeks. We’re not in the mood to be f**king playing around with y’all. Dead a**. I will dead ass kill y’all. Stop f**king playing,” she said.

As previously reported by HOT 97, Takeoff was fatally shot at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas on Nov. 1. According to TMZ, the Atlanta rapper was killed following an altercation during a dice game, which resulted in someone opening fire. On Nov. 11, Takeoff’s family, friends, and fans from across the world attended his “Celebration of Life” at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. He was only 28-years-old.

Offset broke his silence on social media following the memorial, saying that the pain he’s experiencing is “unbearable.”

“I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare,” the rapper posted on his Instagram page. “I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one last time. Perform one last time,” he added.
